Many creationists spend time in a desperate effort to prove the story of Noah's Flood. They mainly do this by making false claims about geology and debating what a "kind" is.

Their efforts are futile, however, because the estimated date of the Flood isn't exactly prehistoric. All the proof we need is right there in front of us.

There was no global Flood.

  • Not all creationists believe that the Flood occurred in the year 2348 B.C. Some believe it occurred in "3835 BC (based on Abraham birth date of 2167 BC and 1688 years elapsed time between birth of Abraham and flood (John Urquhart, How Old is Man, 1904 Morris p 481)" (Stanford). Another: "According to this interpretation, Kings 6:1 should read 1480 years not 480 years, Aardsma believes; correction of this apparent clerical error would then push Usshers flood date back to 3350 B.C." (Stanford).

  • @rickclayfan

All true, and all irrelevant. As the video says, you can move the date a long way in either direction (MUCH further than any of the dates you gave) and come up with equally solid historical evidence against it. And that's without even looking at the issues in my other flood video.

  • @gregrutz ...Sure, the evolution of writing is a real thing. But instead of gradual advancement, we find the opposite, where it seems like several ancient cultures sprang into existence, with no preceding gradual record. These cultures had advanced writing and mathematics. Also they had different languages, even though they were only separated by a few hundred miles at times. This is entirely consistent with the Bible.

  • @Laylow4now But reptiles are found with bunny fossils in young rocks, reptiles only in older rocks, and clam shells are found in the same age rocks as bunnies.

The layers are distinct and of different kinds of rock in random order with different fossils in each layer so they did not all get laid down at the same time.

  • @Laylow4now Yes tree rings are growth cycles, they grow in the summer and not in the winter. One ring = one year.

  • @Laylow4now Did it every occur to you that writing had no EVOLVED yet?

  • @gregrutz ......Again, the cave paintings are real no doubt. But how are we dating them? Instead of crude cave paintings, with no date written on them, we should focus on the truly brilliant cultures that kept accurate calendars such as the Mayans, Egyptians, Chinese and Babylonians. Why do none of these have any dated object or calendar timeline that goes back more than 4500 years?

  • @gregrutz ....I have no doubt that a tree could survive a flood. But even assuming that the tree is 5000 years old, that still doesn't disprove the Bible, as it falls well within the range that the Earth was created 6000 years ago. Secondly, tree rings represent growth cycles, not necessarily years, as 2 or 3 growth cycles can occur in a single year

  • @gregrutz .....But dinosaurs didn't "rule the earth" for 160 million years. They were created 6000 years ago. One tooth here and a bone there does not disprove the Bible. In fact, just recently in Alaska they found a 2 legged predator of the T-Rex variety that still had gooey red stuff inside unfossilized bone. Any sane person would assume that it was only a few thousand years old at best. But what do those braniacs say? Its amazing that gooey red blood stuff lasted 70 million years. Google it

  • @gregrutz ......During and after a flood, trilobites would have already been at the bottom, then reptiles would sink faster, and bunny rabbits would be the last to settle, just as I would expect from a single global flood.

  • @Laylow4now The record-holders for individual, non-clonal trees are Great Basin bristlecone pine trees from California and Nevada, in the United States. Through tree-ring cross-referencing, they have been shown to be almost 5,000 years old.

So you are still off by 500 years.

    .

Cave paintings are paintings on cave walls and ceilings, and the term is used especially for those dating to prehistoric times. The earliest European cave paintings date to the Aurignacian, some 32,000 years ago.
