Softball actually came before baseball, thought it is not the softball game as we know it today
If you didn't notice, the girls in the background. He's a coach. Most coaches I had in junior high school and high school had tremendous knowledge of most sports in general. The reason they are coaching in the first place. Your comment is out of place and laced with ignorance.

Wrong...softball and hardball can both be recreational or competitive. There are many levels to softball as there probably is with baseball. There is house ball (recreational), rep "B" ball (a bit more competitive), and rep "A" ball (very competitive). Women can get softball scholarships to Universities just as guys can for hardball. And...although not as popular, there is a pro league for softball players as well. Make sure you know your facts first before you make your comments.
