Thank you for a good start. I am planning to use Pic18F26K22 with MPLAB ICD 2.. Could you make some kind of tutorial on defining ports and stuff and how to read from other devices connected..

@ davepetzer : Welcome. Last what I have used was MPLAB C18 v3.22, that have no problem. I think, it might be the problem of that software. U may try with any other copy of C18 compiler to fix the problem,

Welcome Ryan. U need PICkit or Universal Programmer to hook up PIC to ur PC thru' USB port. Feel free to contact for any further assistance.
