AFL Round 18, 2011 Hayden Ballantyne is given the chance to complete a great comeback win for Fremantle against the West Coast Eagles when Fremantle was awarded a free kick on the final siren.

i cant believe how great that match was... i have been a freo fan all my life and was so devestated when west coasts palm tree got his hand to the ball. To every west coast fan out there saying how crap ballaz is, have a look at adam goodes against essendon from this season. Mark LeCras also had a shot from a similar position a few weeks later and missed as well. So i really think that was a great effort from ballantyne.

unless you live in WA and are an eagles fan, you will never know how sweet this moment was, the western derby is more than just a regular game, its bragging rights to the maximum, and after the shit we've been copping from the dockers all these years of us doing bad, especially last year when they brang wooden spoons along to the second derby, they can go eat the shit that they served up to us

@Golden92 that's fair enough I can understand why people at the opposite end of the ground thought it went through but what about the players right next to the goalpost that it hit? Perhaps it was a case of premature euphoria from the Dockers players who were led on by the crowd.

@Stoigen86 the thing is, so many of the players and supporters couldn't even see hit hit the post. I was at the opposite end and the commentators along with every dockers fan thought it had gone through
