Yes, there is no doubt that Lilli is a boy! The name Lili came about when she was still an egg lol. And it stuck. We didn't realise she was a he until about 6 months later.

They are mates, they can't be apart or they both start stressing. They sleep in the same happy hut every night, the groom each other, feed each other, and even mate! Haha. They are very creative to make their relationship work :P

That's so cute! I have a 'tiel and I'm getting a sun conure this friday! I was told not to put them in the same cage because they are different types of birds. Have you had a problem with them in the cage together? How do they interact?

Mine used to live in separate cages beside each other. During the day I would have the cages open and they'd have play time together. Then the sun conure paired up with one of the cockatiels, and they became inseparable. The sun conure grew up with the cockatiels, so he never hurts them, but be careful, they have strong beaks and can be very mean if they don't like certain birds.

As long as you give them time to get used to each other, and are in a big cage, they should get along. Good luck!

aww I wish my conure and cockatiel got along lol. My conure is a fatty so she is on a special diet, but the cockatiel is just on regular seed... the only time they get along is when the conure is stealing seed from him.

There's something about conures and cockatiels........ my neighbor has a conure(male), and a cockatiel named Jowey(Male) and they do the same thing, plus regurgitate in each others mouths.

aw this is so adorable! I have a sun conure and a cockatiel as well. However, despite my best efforts they don't get along. I can see that Sunshine (my conure) really wants to become buddies with Sweetheart (my cockatiel), but he is anything but sweet. Any time she comes near him, he screams, hisses, and tired to bite her. It's so cute to see a pair like yours getting along so well!
