Feeling the water inside me was like a sealed up water bottle,
waiting to be opened.But mine wouldn't.
It stayed sealed.
I wasn't in the water anymore,i knew that.I was on sand.
I couldn't open my eyes.I couldn't breathe.How was alive?
I felt a push,which made me spit out water.I could open my eyes now.
Looking up,i saw Zac.His hair was dripping wet,as was his clothes.
He smiled.
"Vanessa?Are you okay?"He asked helping me up.
"Uh,yeah."Thats when i noticed there were people watching.
"Make sure to not go out there..it's dangerous."
They gave me a towel,as i walked back to my shelter.I had sand all over
me,which was hard to get off with a towel,so i went back outside.
I grabbed some water,and poured it over me.I kept doing that until it was all
gone.
Going back to my shelter,i dried myself,and got dressed.
My hair was soaking,but i didn't care.
Walking out,i went to go see Zac.
"Hey,Zac.."I said,looking at him.
"Oh,hey."He looked over at me.
"I just wanna say thanks for saving my life..i mean..if you weren't there,
i would be dead..so thanks."
"Its fine.Just make sure to not go out there,without telling someone,
you know?"
"Yep...so whatcha doing here?"
"I'm making my shelter"
"I thought you would of made it earlier though."
"No,i was helping other people make theirs.Then,i was checking wounds of the others..so i thought now i can make mine."
"You almost done?" I asked,randomly.
"Yeah.I'm about done."
"That's cool.."
"Vanessa,i have a questions to ask you.."
My head shot up."Yeahh?"
"Remember when i asked you to go out to lunch with me?Well,i was hoping we still could."
I looked around the island,smiling.
"We can have it here.Or at least thats what i was thinking.."
"I'd love to." I replied after a moment of silence.
"That's great.Meet me here at 6 o'clock tonight?"
I laughed."Um...i have no idea what time it even is right now."I said,smiling.
"Oh,yeah..how about the sunset.Meet me here?"
"Sure."I smiled and walked away.I was having a date with him!
Walking over to my shelter,i saw Ashley.She was sitting on a piece of the plane,staring out at the ocean.
I sat next to her.
"Hi."She said,turning over to me.
"Heyy.."I left a silence for a second. "Did you find your brother..?"
"Yeah,i did.He's still a butt though..i thought maybe,this would change him
when we got stuck here ... but no.."She shook her head,staring
at the ocean still.
"Oh,ha,well..how old are you?"
"Twenty."She looked at me."How old are you?"
"Same.That's cool.At least i know someone my own age."I smiled.
"Yeah how long so you think we will be here?"Ashley asked.
"I think awhile,but thats just me..I don't know,i just feel something that's
telling me we'll be here for awhile.."
"That's exactly how i feel!"She looked at me then the ocean."I cannot stop staring at the ocean.."She laughed.
"That's funny.."
I looked out at the ocean,seeing the waves thrash,then the sun,
which i waited anxiously for it to set.
