And its not about beating Nate at all... its about beating the necromorphs :P

Not dissing Isaac at all... cause I think he's a badass but I think Nate deserves just as much credit... I mean he actually crawled around in the vents and shit when they were FRESH of necromorphs... if thats not badass then i don't know what is.... :P

That's stupid that people got angry for you saying that. My personal character preference aside, it's narratively unbelievable given the manner in which their personalities were written in Extraction. She even says quite contemptibly in Chapter 9 that McNeil "cares more about him than he deserves."

It just reeks of "We didn't know what else to do so we put them together."

I don't mind Ellie as a character, but I hope Isaac doesn't fall in love with her. He just cared about Nicole too much.

@ururugi I'm glad to see other people have the same feelings on this! People came down hard on me when Severed came out for saying that I had a terrible time buying Weller and Lexine as a married couple, he treated her like dead weight and she didn't like him in Extraction! I like them both as characters but not as a married couple! I always thought it was Weller who turned in the end in the first place. Hope they don't kill Ellie off in DS3, she's great!

It would have made much more sense and been far more touching if Gabe had been the one to turn into the necromorph and then Nate was the PC in Severed.

It just seemed like developers wanted to kill of Nate to make the ending of Extraction depressing (like the rest of the series LOL) and then for convenience sake to include both survivors into another installment, forced Weller and Lexine together.

And after DS2 it seems like they might do that to Isaac and Ellie.

@ururugi LOL my thoughts exactly! the addon felt kind of dumb, *spoiler* the only thing that interested me really was the people from the church or w/e trying to take the baby, can't wait till deadspace 3 comes out. But yea, i didn't get the relationship between wellers and lexine, he was such a dick :p it makes no sense imo.

I just got into this series (late I know, for shame) and I felt the same way.

I hate Weller. The fact that he almost shot Lexine, wanted to leave her behind and gave her up for dead while Nate was obviously falling for her (and she him) makes them *spoiler* hooking up, having a child and spewing all of that "I love you." crap seem so stupid.
