you could just complete the theives guild you get the mask and his hideout for free lol you can also get the shoes of acrobatics

Good quick way to get it but you get it at the end of the thief's guild quests.

there is an easier way without leveling up in armorer....you place a bound enchanted helmet in his inventory by pickpocketing and then go and complete a quest from the grey fox The first quest from the grey fox is the one i completed, (Temple of the Ancestor Moths)...when your done and you go back to talk to the grey fox he will be wearing the bound enchanted helmet. then you steal the cowl

If you summon a creature and hit it 3 times, it will attack you back. If your disposition is high enough the gray fox will get up and help, and at the same time will equip the bound item(s) =D Then you can steal the cowl off him.
This saves you a bit of time and 500 gold.

i cant do it when i reverce pikpokit him it says u cant put things in a container while pickpokiting

The point of this is you can use it as you go through the Thieves Guild, At the end of the thieves guild quest line, you get another one, So in the end you have two rather than just the one and the red icon goes away once you get the real one.
