  • The 1010 is 38hp and was introdcued in 1965 along witht he 54hp 2020,54hp 2510 and the BIG 133hp 5020 standard.

  • The 1020 (gasoline engine) was actually 38.82 hp (every little bit helps).

  • Actually, the trailer box is empty-all of the logs are on top. That little trailer earns its keep. Yes, the 1020 has a 3-cylinder gasoline engine.

  • @1of94 Would this size tractor be good for a community garden or would i need to go with something like a 3020 in case a big job comes up that needs a lot of power??

  • @Fireheart528

Unless you are planning to do some serious plowing in heavy soil, the 1020 should be large enough to maintain a community garden. The 2020 is a 4 cyl diesel and might be an upgrade for you. I would think that a 3020 would be too large for small spaces.

  • @1of94(Cont) I had planned on growing my own food if i can get a house out in the country, so i'm looking at both my future family's needs and the needs of those who are less fortunate, those who don't always have the resources to buy food at a grocery store. Planned on selling some of it at a farmer's market as well, so it's not just me I was looking at.

  • @1of94 Thanks. You're right in saying that a 3020 would be too large for the average community garden, though I have to wait till I get my own land to do that. I mentioned the 3020 bc I was raised in Jamestown, NY, where the soil isn't always light, and we get a lot ot snow up there, so if you live in the country, you're best off to have a little more power than needed for certain tasks.

  • Nice video - love the quaking aspens.

  • I met to say the 1020.The 1010 came along in 1960

  • little overkill for the trailer. lol i have a model "L" and i used to (until the engine died) pull a small craftsman trailer with it nice 1020 3cyl right
