  • you should polish it.

  • Your knife is worth more like $600 and because your Grandfather passed it to you it is priceless! I believe that your knife is an Alaskan Skinner three inch; very nice knife. The Randall website should have info about care and storage for your knife. If the knife is not stainless (noted on blade with an "S") do not store it in the sheath or it may rust or dis-color.

  • Yeah, you have no idea what you have, do you?

    You sound like you are about 13, and I am not much older, but I can tell you that you should really think about what kind of gift you have been given, and take better care of it. It takes five years to get one of those from a factory. Many consider them to be amongst the finest knives on the planet, and they are. I have had the fortune to live in a household that has one of these masterpieces, and never have I handled it with such nonchalance.

  • Very cool randall, you should check out my review on my model 1. :}

  • Better than crocus cloth is a metal polish called Flitz. I have used it on Randalls in the past and it works great.

  • Bro, have got to slow down. Be careful and treat that and all knives with respect. Minimum, you will cut the sheath. At worse, you will cut yourself. Slow down.

  • what do you do whive this treasur

  • and ur not old enough to have one, dont cut yourself

  • You can use a piece of crocus cloth to polish the blade back to look like new.

  • @mcmoffitt

    is that what the S means? I'd really like to know bc mine has an S and I wasn't sure.

    My dad doesn't remember cuz it was a long time ago. He walked into the shop in Orlando and told them what he needed it to do that's all he remembers.

  • Wow that is a really nice knife. I just went to the gun show and those were going for over $600 with the stag handle.

    That's really special from your grandpa.

    My father just gave me a Randall he had in the military. I will always keep it.

    It's military style tho not hunting like this. peace

  • Boy you better put that knife away. Someday your going to understand what your granddaddy gave you.
