R.C.W.A (the initialism for: "Rotary Club With Attitude") is a Leeds, UK-based hip hop duo widely considered one of the seminal acts of the gangsta rap sub-genre. Active from 2009, the group endured controversy due to the explicit nature of their lyrics. They were subsequently banned from many mainstream UK radio stations and even at times prevented from touring - yet the group still got more youtube hits in their first weekend than their rivals N.W.A had in their first year. Their first single, Straight Outta My Mum, marked the beginning of the new gangsta rap era as the production and the social commentary in their lyrics were revolutionary within the genre. Rolling Stone failed to rank R.C.W.A on their list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time" claiming that they would exceed any artist on the list and therefore were considered a seperate entity altogether, as they greatest musical experience available. Many have also likened the band to Public enemy, claiming that, like Chuck D, Flowzy-E has a serious message in his lyrics, however he would be nothing without his Flava Flav, In this case Grant Cube...
