The Roland R-mix brings a new flow to the art of the remix. What it does is very simple and effective. The R-mix identifies each instrument within the mix and represents the different sounds as energy clouds across a stereo field. Once a sound is isolated it can be completely removed or cut out and exported as an audio file for further mixing or manipulation. The R-Mix is a versatile tool for tasks such as mastering, extracting acapellas for remixes, mashups and general noise cancelation when it comes to recording speech in an open environment.
