Beach Walk #71 - Save the Internet

Hawai'i is the most remote land mass in the world. The internet is vital to us being able to connect and communicate with the rest of the world. Our economy depends on tourism, the large majority of whom use the internet as consumers to learn about our piece of paradise. What would you do if you had to wait 30 minutes for Beach Walks to download every day?

Please act now as Congress will be voting on this next week. Usually rivals, these companies have all come out in favor of "net neutrality" and against the bill currently in Congress to allow for access fees all across the internet: Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Yahoo, eBay, Common Cause, Gun Owners of America and the Parents Television Council.

Contact your congressional representatives easily from Save the Internet.

BTW, the Congressman leading the way to allow toll roads on the Internet, Joe Barton of Texas, lists SBC Communications and Comcast as his second and third largest contributors. What a coincidence!
