You watched a video with plants moving and you came to the conclusion that they are the same as us animals? LOL! And then, you criticized vegetarianism! If you really care about plants, go vegan. You will be killing (lol, killing is an exaggerated word since they aren't alive as us) a lot less plants than a meat eater. A meat eater requires 20 times more plants to be killed (let's not forget the animals too), they also contribute to the destruction of our environment.

emotions are responses to stimulus too. someone breaks up with you, you feel sad. someone yells at you, you feel frightened or angry.
Emotions are chemicals released into the brain triggered by certain external stimuli. Some of which are instinctual. Some of which are conditioned.

The problem with this is that the 'feelings' in the video is just a response to a stimulus, not an emotional state.

"I don't want to kill animals" has never made sense to me as a reason for vegetarianism, because plants are as alive as animals are. That kind of thinking is discriminatory against plants just because they're built a little differently.
(And I found some numbers indicating how many small animals die when harvesting soy and stuff, and they're rather significant numbers.)
This plant is really cool.
