How to Give a Cat a Pill

This video makes it look easier than it is. My cat gets recalcitrant. Cats have extremely strong jaw muscles, so I have trouble prying her mouth open enough to get the pill back far enough; I can't close her jaws completely, so she works the pill to the side and then spits it out; if I persist in my efforts, as I did last night, she bites me, which truly hurts and runs the risk of infection. I've switched to dissolving the pill in her food and hoping she gets some of it.

Very helpful. Also, Clover is adorable and so is her name, and many of the comments are funny. I needed a good laugh.

"If your cat is not de-clawed". I think anybody de-clawing their cat should be de-fingered.
