At the moment of conception, the zygote is fully genetically human, distinguishable from any other type of cell, and has combined DNA traits from both its mother and father. At 3 weeks, a fetus has a heart beat. At 6 weeks, a fetus has brainwaves. The murder of an 11-week-old fetus in an abortion procedure was once recorded by ultrasound imaging. The baby tried to back away from the instrument being used to kill it, its heart-rate soared, and its mouth was wide open in a "silent scream." After seeing this footage, the doctor who performed the procedure never did another abortion. This proves that a fetus, at 11 weeks or even earlier, is not only alive but conscious! This is a most asinine claim, because there is no physiological change in the baby just because it emerges from the birth canal. It is exactly the same as it was one minute earlier when it was still in the womb. Some abortionists try to say that the baby's first breath of air makes it "alive", but this too is an ignorant statement. A fetus's lungs are developed and capable of breathing air by about six months, there is just no air to breathe inside the womb. Im not sure about you but before I went for it I was told its not even a baby at this stage its just a bunch of cells. but the feeling of loss afterwards tells me different.
