Short video of my "Above" beam show for the Pangolin LD-2000 system running on 6 RGB projectors simultaneously. This was accomplished by linking all the computers via a network and Pangolin's .net software. Video was shot during the 7th Florida Laser Enthusiast's Meeting, which was held on June 27th, 2009 in Tavares, Florida.

The projector with the fat beams is the Kvant projector, and it had a -2.75 power lens temporarily attached to the output aperture to diverge the beam for the duration of this event. This was done to reduce the beam irradiance; 1 watt of power at such close range is seriously dangerous to the eye unless the beam is expanded considerably. Without the lens in place, the projector produces a 2 mm beam. (Also, re: my earlier comment - the Kvant is the second from the right, not the left. My bad.)

Most of them are home-made projectors, but one of them (the one 2nd from the left, I think) is a Kvant Spectrum 1 watt RGB unit. Visit PhotonLexicon for more information about this event (and others like it).

2nd from right has fat beams, is it done by some optics? or the diodes have such huge divergence?
