** Recipe included in my new low carb, gluten free cookbook, Low Carbing Among Friends. Please check it out at our website @ http://www.amongfriends.us **

In partnership with FaveDiets ( http://www.FaveDiets.com ) recipe site, I wanted to produce an original recipe that was developed out of a comment made on my buffalo wings about using diet orange soda instead of cola. I took that idea and thought about making orange chicken out of the idea. I am pretty pleased with the outcome, but if you aren't a huge fan of spicy foods, you might want to back off the crushed red pepper amount. Note: even though the carbs are less than 3g per servings, this recipe as made is not Induction friendly, but I have provided the options on how to make it Induction friendly.

The chicken strips sans the orange sauce also make delicious meal too. I was almost tempted to make two separate videos because the chicken strips are that good, but I'll likely just refer to this one in the future.

I hope you guys like this original creation.

  • soo i had shredded cheese instead of grated!! however it still worked LOL was a lot messier though but never the less it was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS i went a head and with half i did the almond flour and parm. cheese still tasted great and had more of a battered feel when eating it even my 4 and 5 year olds LOVED IT...i was a big Chinese food lover as well thank u so much for this :)

  • @MelissaInez85 You are welcome. I am glad it worked so well for you that your kids even liked it. That is the sign of a good low carb recipe that the high carbers don't even miss the carbs.

  • can i use soy flour or almond flour instead of that baking mix since i dont have that ??? i read in the comments u suggests double coating with the parm. cheese...what is the best way???? thank u

  • @MelissaInez85 I would just use simply Parmesan cheese or coat it first with coconut flour or almond flour. (I like coconut a little better for frying than almond.) The double coating of Parmesan is how I made this recipe in the Low Carbing Among Friends cookbook.

  • I am going to try this tomorrow night with the family. I hope it turns out like yours

  • @jimmie305 How did it turn out for you?

  • When I first started watching your videos, I was 385. At that point I had already lost 15 pounds from just exercise, but it had been a month and my knees could not take the exercise. I realized that I'd have to start losing weight faster if I was going to preserve my knees (i'm a 19 year old guy, want to keep those lol). So I went low carb. I now weigh 290.

  • I don't care what anyone thinks. I am in awe of your weight loss accomplishment and your success inspires me. I have been on Atkins for the past 4 weeks and recipes such as yours are really a blessing! The combination of mouth watering low carb recipes and your success story keeps me going. Thank you!!!!!
