i notice a lot of kids saying they wish they could be born during the 60's or the flower power era...damnit why dont you just be who you wanna be and make this era the coolest fucking one yet...live for today...and love everyone

When people say they wish to be born during this time, they mean that they were born in this era of innocence, enthousiastic exploration, and child like enjoyment of life vs what's going on today.

When in this generation was the last time we all united and protested against war? Or the last time we all got together and danced naked in a pond? Or the last time it was cool to paint your SUV in bright colors? When was the last time we were not all freaked out by STD's? You guessed it...never.

Too bad that people believe film footage is representative of the '60s. There was a real world and real world problems. The world did not stop for Woodstock, which became iconic only after the movie of the event was released. Never was 400,000 in attendance at any 1 time, more like 80-100,000 at any one time. You really believe all anyone did was chant, smoke and make music in the 60's? DUH! Actually, they did not oppose the war per se; they opposed the draft. Youve been had by a movie, kiddies

To the people who say : that we (the kids who wish they could of lived during the 60's) should to make the best out of our generation, you gotta consider a few things man.

First of all, i can tell you more than anything i wish i lived in the 60's. I would give up everything. You say lets all get together and make a change? Go back to the state of mind 30 years ago? People nowadays dont have that state of mind. Some people may say they do, and only a few select mean it. Life was better back then.

I can say that I am lucky.

I still experience everything today, so I was born at the right time.

If you want to judge one era from another, then be born in the 1950's like me.

I like Elvis, the Beatles and still like Christina Aguilera.

I still feel young because I am carefree.
