In a 2006 performance at the Mannes College of Music (NYC), pianist Vladimir Feltsman plays Mozart's
Fantasy in c minor, K 475 on his own fortepiano.
Modeled after an Anton Walter instrument from Mozart's time, Mr. Feltsman commissioned builder Paul McNulty to construct the fortepiano as a replica of Mozart's own.

On September 17th, 2009, Mr. Feltsman will once again play on his own fortepiano when he performs Mozart's Piano Concert No. 27 with the AMERICAN CLASSICAL ORCHESTRA. He'll open the ACO's season at the new Alice Tully Hall; the concert begins at 8:00 pm, and includes a pre-concert lecture by Director Thomas Crawford at 7:00 pm.

  • @fdaltrey She can turn my pages any day

  • @tommyIglesias - she has a beautiful face but is so skinny! lots of makeup too.

  • @lovesGenet Shostakovich... now? Do you have a time machine? But yeah, I think he does play a few tracks from NOW MUSIC vol. 56

  • @CookstarSi which is exactly why YOU are not vladimir feltsman lol

  • Feltsman is great, but here he is playing too much with the tempo and creating an overly affected feel. Indeed, these instruments do not have the dynamic and expressive range of modern pianos, but this is not the way to compensate and create color. Not with Mozart...

  • Jesus.I think after Ligeti,Boulez,Scelsi,Berio,Sciarrino that I would lose interest in Mozart Hadyn.Pretty music , just listen to the quintets and concerti.I was wrong this Fantasy becomes more everytime.

What chick?Never noticed .How could i .Aint programmed for that.

Does Feltsman play any Shostakovich or "NOW" music. All music is now but the harmony/content is so different .Now form is much diff after Beeth.

  • exelente, fortepiano.

  • I thought the same thing when I first saw this video. I would be too distracted by her to play lol
