  • Ive never been so hammered at a celtic game than this.Quality match. Will live in the memory until the old alzheimers kicks in.

  • look at the fuckin beuts in the united end taking pictures of a team singing you'll never walk alone hahaha

  • gotta laugh at the flashes coming from the united end, they love our song but just can't admit it

    18-5

  • I agree we cannot believe everything in the broadsheets, which is why it's important to have multiple sources of evidence. Liverpool supporters can produce anecdotal, written and video evidence. Celtic fans, on the other hand, make assertions of fact without anything solid to back up their claims. Indeed, in this case, we have longstanding Celtic supports who are on record saying YNWA was performed rarely during the 70s at Parkhead. And if what you say is true, these people wouldn't exist.

  • How do YOU know? Were you there? Was the Guardian newspaper there? You can't believe everything you read in the press (i.e.'LFC fans pickpocket dead at Hillsborough'...utter lies)I refer it to you. You are so certain you are right based on what? Have you ever actually been to a Scottish game much less one in the 70s? As a kid, going to Celtic games from 1969-70 onwards we sang YNWA EVERY WEEK. It was played on the tannoy along with the 'Grand Old Team' every single home game and still is.

  • It's impossible to prove a negative, so kindly stop arguing backwards and falsify my claim by providing evidence. The burden of evidence lies firmly with you, especially as we have longstanding Celtic supporters reporting in The Guardian (The Knowledge, 2002 & 2003) that it was sung infrequently during the 1970s. I am sorry about your father. Nevertheless, if he spoke the words that you attribute to him, then he was talking rubbish.

  • You miss the point again my foul mouthed amigo. You are the one claiming Celtic fans never sang YNWA much at all, then it changed to 'Rarely in the 70s' I am telling you that I was there when it was sung weekly in the

70s, and older relatives tell me they sang it in the 60s too. Of course everyone knows Liverpool sang it from 63. You made the boast so prove Celtic never sang it...go on, put up or shut up! By the way My 'Full of crap' Dad died of cancer this year, cheers for your kind remarks.

There is a mountain of video evidence in support of Liverpool. My user channel provides people with a taste of the information available.

Your Dad is full of anecdotal crap (much like yourself). Now where is your evidence? Put up or shut up.

  • So Celtic fans have to 'Prove it' and you just bumble along on your own opinion? Tell me these 'Reliable Sources' I hope they aren't just other folks opinions as that's unlikely to stand up in court eh? Go on real evidence please? Cos I know older Celtic fans, my Dad included, who insist it was sung at the 7-1 Cup final in 1957. Why would they lie about something so trivial? YNWA was played before every Celtic home game in the late 60s into the 70s. Your taking nonsense pal.

  • No, it has not. Stop talking rubbish. Celtic copied it from Liverpool in 1970. And they sung it infrequently during the 1970s and early 1980s. There are countless reliable sources that confirm this.
