  • Very nice bench, sir! What kind of pine did you use?

  • The bench is made of Red pine - the base is all mortice and tenoned. The end vice is made of ash and the dogs (set into the bench for use with the end vice) are made of iroko, usually these are made of steel but I always shudder at the thought of someone hitting one of them with a plane. I know it's unlikely, but anything is possible ! I thought I would try wood and am pleased with the results so far

  • Gorgeous bench. I'm interested to see how you make use of that sawhorse.
