Rube Goldberg Project 2009

Designed & built by Ben, Evan, Matt, and Peter for the Physics final project.

Made entirely out of K'nex except for a little Gorilla Tape, rubber bands, golf balls, dominos and an IsoFlex ball (the last two just as weights).

The assignment was supposed to last 20 seconds, which we were close to in the graded run. This video is much faster because the old and slow motor batteries were replaced with fresh ones. There is no external involvement whatsoever, other than dropping the ball at the very beginning. Everything is triggered by the golf ball's movement.

at 0:10, the golf ball rolling down the ramp hits a trigger which releases a weight which falls on one of the motor batteries, pushing it into place (the motor switch was already on so when the battery gets pushed in the motor starts)
