Ante Natal Care is plays an important part in preventing Maternal and Infant Mortality especially in the rural areas where the access to health services for women is difficult due to the cultural and social beliefs.
This film is shot in a remote village where a Sub Health Post or a Health Post is located. It caters to a population of 5000 approximately and covers area of 5 kms.
The ANM (Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife) posted is trained health service provider and her primary task is provide Pre & Post Natal Care to women, vaccination to women & children apart from referring the difficult cases to higher health facilities, counselling to adolescent girls, pregnant women, nursing mothers their family members and also taking care of basic public health initiatives in the villages under her jurisdiction.
An organised Sub Health Center gives her the joy of working.
Japan International Cooperation Agency through it Reproductive Health Project has been able to get a large number of SHCs organised in the 5 districts of Sagar Division (Bundelkhand Region) of Madhya Pradesh
