  • i have wd cav black 1 tb 64 mb cashe 6/gb a second x2 in raid 0 why r these drives 6gb/a second when i bench mine using atto they r nothing close to my 6gb/a second ocz vertex 3 ssd raid array

  • @nervoustwitch77 the vertex's are ssd's or slid state drives they have no moving parts to wait for and work kinda like ram. much much faster than spinning drives and will always be that way.

  • search for atto benchmark

  • I'm running the same setup on my Z68 board. My boot time seem to be a bit slow, people have told me its because the system has to first identify the RAID array.

How fast does your computer boot? Do you think there would be better performance if i connected my drives to the Sata ports using the Intel chip-set?

    Also, is ATTO free?

    Thanks,

  • @god2many

it takes about a min to boot due to the raid booting and a boot time defrag from avast. but once its up its FAST!!!. boot time dont matter too me. if its boot time you want go with a single sata 3 6gb solid state drive. and yes atto is free.

  • @god2many mine takes awhile to boot. and yes, it because the raid takes awhile to initialize.
