In 1879, Frederick Law Olmstead designed the Summer House, an open-air brick building that sits just north of the Capitol. Three arches open into the hexagonal structure, which encloses a fountain and brick chairs. In 2007, Kiwini Oe recreated the Summer House for Second Life Capitol Hill.

  • Lovely work. I live just a few blocks from the Capitol and the Summer House is a regular weekend visit. They recently fenced it off for pre-inaugural renovation and landscaping so your SL replica is the next best thing. :)
