Demonstrating a vintage amp with a boat load of pedals? WTF does the amp sound like by itself? Skip the foo foo pedals.

@leonc1234 THANK YOU!
been eying one for sale online so obviously I dont have the chance to play it, not sure what to do. Always wanted a maggie or tonemaster. Ive got a thunderbolt and would love to pair them

What is the best OD pedal for Blues and Jazz?
-
Do you have to have a pedal to get the 260's vibrato to work? The schematic looks that way.

I love my old magnatone amp.

You are obviously a magnatone expert! Awesome collection
Is the Titano 314 the same amp as a magnatone 213

@nohomatt - Well I've learned a little about them over the years but there are some guys on the Yahoo Magnatone-Valco group with way more knowledge. The answer to you question is "sometmes", LOL. Here's some irony. There's a Titano 314 schematic floating around the net which is in fact identical a Magnatone Troubadour 213 (later version with 5Y3). But my Titano 314 was different. it was identical to the Phil X Tonemaster with SS rectifier, 6AV6 pre amp, tone switch, etc. So there are variants.

I can't tell you what's "best", only what I like. OD pedal for jazz? Hmmm...I think of jazz (at least straight up jazz) being something I prefer to play clean. If the amp doesn't produce a lot of overdrive on its own, I'd probably put something like a clean boost in front of it for blues. I really like Paul Cochrane's "Timmy" pedal myself, but it depends on the amp. For a largish Fender type amp, I'd use an Ibanez TS808, for a smaller one, the Timmy or Okko Diablo. Just MHO.

Only if you want to be able to turn it on and off. If you just want to turn it on, then you just set the vibrato speed and intensity knobs as you like on the amp. If you just want it to stay off, then you turn the intensity knob all the way down. It's just like Fender and other companies' vibrato in this respect.
