Classic. I love the look of the early years up to Destroyer. I think the dark, smaller stage adds to the flavor of this band.
Why is it no member of KISS actually talks about their muscianship? No, it wasn't at the level of Zeppelin, but KISS was a different animal. They clearly knew what they were doing; how to write a good rock song and how to perform it live.
I LOVE the little groove and jam bits ala She and Let Me Go Rock 'n' Roll and the rave up during 100,000 Years.
wow this footage gives a real flavor for the way Kiss looked then. Ya know... the show seemed so bright and big back then but it is So tame as compared to shows now. not much lights and small stage as compared to now. this is really cool to see. I saw Kiss several times at MSG in junior high. this footage is the closest thing I have ever seen to those nights. I feel like im 16 again. thank you for posting and to whomever got the camera in there that night. very friggin cool man !
This is interesting footage. About a month after this show, "Destroyer" was released. They may have even played songs from Destroyer at this point. If you look up the London, Ontario show, they played Flaming Youth...
@hfisher listen to the bill aucoin interview series he tells some great stories about the tours in the 70's! I like the one about when they first went to japan! KISS dressed in drag and performed with grace slick as a joke on bill! its hilarious!
The audio on this is very hot. They were really having a killer night. Too bad the guy filming totally missed Gene blowing fire. It's enjoyable to see these guys when they were at the top of their game.
@Defender78 I would think that their lighting rigs in late 75 and early '76 would have been pretty rudimentary, especially compared to when they began headlining in ernest (after Destroyer) really broke big. And this would have been primitive compared to the computer controlled lighting we are accustomed to today. Just my two cents. Keep on rockin' brutha!!!

i prefer them in june 75 because the tempo of the songs wasn't as fast as later tours.
