This is a video demonstration of Display-Out, a Cydia application that mirrors your iDevice's screen onto your TV. In this video I am using a 3rd party cable from Hong Kong that I purchased for $7 because of this I also am using another Cydia app called Resupported4 that lets you use 3rd party cables instead of the official $50 Apple cable that does the exact same thing.

Cable - $7
Display-Out - $2.99
Resupported4 - $3.99

So, in all, you're paying about $15 as opposed to the $50 you would spend if you did it with an official Apple cable.

The application I am using in this demonstration is CineXPlayer, it will allow you to view XviD videos on your iDevices. You can read a full review here:

  • Ok, I am new to all this but I do want to mirror my iPad. I have an iPad 1. In order to use these softwares you mentioned Display-Out and Resupported4 I would have to jailbreak my iPad correct? Or is there another way around that?

  • @soniayayo Yes, in order to use this method you would need to be jailbroken. The only other option is to buy Apple's official video out cable which is very expensive and only lets you do video out from within certain applications, whereas this method lets you do video out for any application.

  • I thought u don't need cables If u have resupported 4.0? (Please Reply)

  • @Captin187 Of course you need cables, Resupported4 just lets you use 3rd party cables instead of the official Apple cable.

  • @kylevandegrift Resupported4 is the only app I know of to enable 3rd party cables, definitely worth the cost!

  • It's not working on my iPod 4gen ios4.3.3 what to do?!?? It comes in an out then it's gone then pops back on then off again !?! I'm lost I try all cracked app will it work if I just buy it form cydia !?! HEPL PLZ THANK YOU KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

  • @bedstuygi1 Buy the application. We do not support piracy. If you buy the application(the way it was intended) it will work just fine.

  • damm i need a hdmi cable cost $7 cuz $50 for the apple cable its madness

  • Is there a free alternative?

  • I downloaded everything needed and browsed through the app settings, but this does not work for me. I have a 4th generation iPod and I realized I can't tamper with the default tv out put settings on it's video settings. I did some research and according to my findings, apple blocked it on purpose in to use their apple product av cables, which contain chips, in order for us to view it on television. Is this true or could I be doing something wrong??

  • @iphonenlogr. Where can I buy some then, other than apple or EBay. Do they sell this in Best Buy????!
