Can look-at-me styling and newfound efficiency make Hyundais baby ute a contender?

  • I'm glad this garbage is named after my city, thanks Hyundai. Couldn't be a Ford or at least American, could it? Should have called it the Hyundai Korea-town.

  • The first generation Tucson offered alot of value, this time around Hyundai has both Style and Afforadable Price.

  • You're so right.

  • Can you leave? are you telling me u can get a 2009 lexus for the same price as a 2010 tuscon? u r fucking retarted! ha. if only life was like that eh?

  • Resale value is scary!! After all these years they are still having trouble with brand recognition.

  • If I didn't just buy a rav4 I wouldve test driven this car

  • There is no doubt that the Tucson is a good entry level SUV.

I went for a test drive few days ago. The engine is underpowered but not too bad.

The problem is its dealership price. The limited is $33K with taxes. The GLS is around $29K with taxes. It just doesn't make sense to pay so much for Hyundai Tucson.

For that price I can get similar RAV4, CR-V or Subaru Outback. Or even 1-2 years old Lexus RX or Infiniti EX35.

The dealers are killing the best this car has to offer, the good price!

  • As for trading it in and losing some money, that would be ok as long as I could get exactly the vehicle I want. So far as getting screwed by the dealer, I know how to play those games as well. They are there to make money, but I wouldn't get the shaft like other people who don't do research.

  • Hey man, believe me, if that would happen and Hyundai gave away a Tuscan to me, yes, I would sell it to anyone that wanted it. Even as a daily commuter, I wouldn't want it because when I commute or travel, I want something that I will enjoy driving, not just something that will get me from A to B. If that's the case, I could catch the bus.

  • I think its easier for people to hate on the design of a brand that is seen as cheap and they can never see it as capable to design something new so they accuse it of copying. even so other companies copy and people don't say shiznit.
