Castlevania: Resurrection, cancelled in March of 2000, was intended to be the seventeenth title in the Castlevania series and for the short lived Sega Dreamcast console. This would also be the third Castlevania game, at the time, to enter the 3D realm. The game was to focus on Sonia Belmont and Victor Belmont, an 1800s vampire killer who had abandoned his lineage, in 1666, directly before Simon Belmont's mission in the original Castlevania. Greg Orduyan, the art director for the game, is so far the only staff member on the project to speak of how it would have worked out. Its cancellation is credited to many things, including disagreements between the Japanese and American Konami teams, and the death of the Dreamcast. It is rumored that Castlevania: Curse of Darkness uses some environments that were originally in this game.- [wikipedia]

I think it's best ignore IGA's games and consider the original games before IGA took over canon and pretend the games IGA did never happened.

  • castlevania just isn't the same anymore

  • Probably a demo out somewhere

  • @bacardipr05 Dreamcast lacked a few tools or resources unexpensable for the programmers to create things much important in all tipes of games. That is why most of the key franchises have scratched their projects and have migrated to the newer - in that time - and more powerful PS2.

People who buyed that videogame (Dreamcast) ended up desapointed and only played most of capcom games or Sega creations, The only creation who have competed with PS2 at that time was the late XBOX and Game Cube.

  • @DonDiego500000 What was wrong with the dreamcast? At the time it had enough power to compete with the PS2.

  • @Nevrix123

    Haha, i agree !

  • @TheAGKMisadventures I know I feel like the got the guy who directed the Mortal Kombat movies to work on this game lol

  • What's wrong with the music ? Was this in the intro ? This sounds nothing like castlevania.
