Visit to Wellesley College Pt. 2

A second short bit of a tour my daughter and I took at Wellesley College.

From what I've seen on other websites, it seems some students find meeting boys and having boyfriends to be no problem; others do. I should have mentioned that my daughter said her friend on the whole really loves attending Wellesley. My daughter said during her first year at Wellesley her friend transformed from someone who was shy and nondescipt to someone confident, outspoken and very attractive. It was the right school for her.

No, my daughter will attend Pomona College. She didn't apply to Wellesley. After talking to students she felt that meeting boys would be a heavy lift. Her friend attends Wellesley now and said that it's true, meeting boys is difficult. Her friend said they have mixers which MIT and Harvard boys attend but they tend to attract sleazy types. My friend's daughter attends as well and she's not happy with the social life. We visited Holy Cross and liked it but she didn't apply.

I like the idea of a girls college. I'm not big on dating... anyway. I am going to (hopefully) visit Mount Holyoke and Wellesley this fall, but I live in arizona!

Did you end up going to Wellesley? I visited last year, (I was going into 8th grade) as a side trip. We all loved it! So I was there about a month after you! We were there for my brother's college tour. (We're from California.) And he is now going to attend The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.
