Retired Fire Chief Roy Modglin was given his last ride on a fire engine Friday to his final resting place at Parkview Cemetery. About 150 fellow firefighters, family and friends attended the funeral, each bowing their heads in solace to remember the man whose life touched so many.
Modglin, 61, died Sunday from a heart attack at his Mapleton, Ill., home. He spent 36 years with the fire department, retiring as chief last year.
