A family had to leave their two dogs behind as they fled their home in Japan's earthquake and tsunami. The dogs, who were tied to a shed outside, managed to climb to the roof to escape rising waters. The family is now reunited.

  • i will NEVER but NEVER leave my animals alone...

you would not let youre child behind so why youre dog or cat?!?!?!?!

just tell me why a dog is not like a child?!?!?!?!

  • This is a great reason for dog training. You say come and they come, no problem, you say stay they stay for a reasonable time. My dog swould be there to protect my children from strangers and not tied up in the yard.

Its great that dogs and other animals survived. They are awesome!

Where I go my dog goes, Simple!

  • @vleermuisje The primacy of intellect maybe?! I understand pets are very important, but to compare them to children?? Im sorry... We should always put people above animals. Its sad really, but morally righteous.. A child is so much more important than a pet..

  • what idiot would leave their dogs tied up and let them drown.? at least untie them before you just ditch them like that. if i were those dogs, once i saw my owner i would bark him tha eff out

  • @theflush i agree

  • @theflush Same here

  • Those dogs don't deserve that kind of owners. Shame on them! u_u

  • Thank goodness. A small little piece of happiness after this disaster!

  • Err you guys don't understand, when the tsunami hit you have literally seconds to pack up and go. I believe they just didn't have the time to let the dogs free. Note that many of the residents did not expect the tsunami to reach that much in-land because they had built numerous sea-walls and tsunami evacuation centres (many of which were destroyed and people perished inside).

  • the bible says look after ur animals, that man at lest try 2 untie the dogs wen going out with his girls, the girl tried to go back inside to free doggy

  • I would rather die hugging my dogs than leaving without them and that's exactly what I did during the last big earthquake at my city . The door was jammed anyway but If I had the chance escaping through the window I would have saved my pets first

That was so cruel leaving them alone, at least to my they are my family not just "pets"

  • @vleermuisje glad we see eye 2 eye
