@112lunar If everyone played like SRV, the world would be deadly boring place. Music is about experimenting.

I have had ENOUGH of this weak arse 4\4 shit.
-
sounds like he´s practicing

This is real anal! Despite the collective chops, all the players here have missed the point of what blues is about. SRV & co must be howling with laughter .....

alright, so you wouldn't have played it the same way he would? well he stayed with in the groove, which is what a drummer is supposed to do, he also played with in the emotion of the music, he expressed himself on the kit. He didn't take away from the music at all. when you see a blues guitarist play guitar does he stick with a simple four chord riff? or does he do a little soloing with in the riff? well Virgil took his blues drumming the same way. He played with as much emotion as the Sax.

if i could play like Virgil i would still try to exercise some judgement and taste in respect for all those old blues and jazz guys WHO INVENTED MY ASS DECADES BEFORE I WAS BORN. don't wank until you get to the wank part. that's what the guitar player does, that's what the bass guy does. SUPPORT the band for the head of the tune and each player when they solo. don't poop all over what they are doing.

Planet x song i meant....lol

I love the way Virgil managed to transform a simple Blues into a Planet x son! LMFAO!!!!!! haHAhahahaha, yeah, maybe he was a bit too exited!!!! ahahah freaking awesomeee

Almost looks like an Ernie Ball music Man Guitar
If we could play like him, we would..i know i would. those far out odd time fills that he does with ease to land back in the grove, thats Virg just grooving.
Enjoy and marvel, dont critasize.
