He was referring to the name of the missile, Davy Crockett.

@bok3116 It's a reference to the battle of the Alamo in the Texas Revolution. After the loss of the Alamo, "Remember the Alamo" became a battle cry for the Texan army to rally behind and encouraged the men to fight harder. In Volgin's case, by destroying a Russian military base with an American weapon he is hoping to rally the Russians behind him to encourage more hostility toward America since he wants WWIII to happen.

@swordimpulse07 Helicopters were invented in the 1940s.

@NeoGamemaster I beg to differ. In Portable Ops, Gene (the bad guy) says that Opeartion Snake Eater was planned by a single person.
-
"remember the alamo" what does that mean?
-
@NeoGamemaster Maybe Big Boss would have been cloned even without the operation snake eater.
-
i'm a bit confused about that because this project is also mentioned at the end of mgs2 by solidus...
-
i know but if it wasnt for that we wouldnt be able to play a game as awesome as these with a good story involved
-
the les enfants terribles project is a cloning experiement to create soldiers like Big Boss and use them in all infitration units
-
