the basic premise of this documentary series ,is the potential danger of collective amnesia ,and subsequent disalusionment and potential negitive sociopolitical ramifications of both subterfuge and rediscovery. does that remind the people stuck in the "pasture" (yes past+future) of anything?
However, this is a very good documentary and a rare contribution to critical thinking. It begs the (renewed) discussion of the usage of various irrational creeds (e.g. nationalism, religion...) by "the mighty". And, in my opinion, most importantly, in perpetual consideration of different classes of society. ("I exploit you, but we are both British...") Many thanks for the upload! Cheers!
A very funny moment when Maggie produces the sculpture of the marines! What a ghastly kitsch! The expression on their faces should not be considered as "spirit of Britain", that would be grossly unjust. :-)

@Knobelius I was going to say! A good serial look at how what "is" never really was in the first place.
