I looked at the NTSB reoprt on this and it has been changed to say the red marks were from the cargo now and that the piece of metal was from inside the cockpit. Hmm makes you wonder why it was changed in 2006

The pilot saw whatever it was he hit, it must have been massive as well.. could have been a top secret US aircraft of some sort.. as I doubt a collision with something extra-terrestrial would have caused aluminum debris to be left behind...but its very strange, what I think we need is a FOIA Request to the nearest air tower preferably from a USAF base for radar records from that evening.
