In 1987, an 80-foot long blue whale beached near Tignish, PEI.

In hopes of preserving this magnificent specimen for future research or display, the whale skeleton was buried at Nail Pond.

People say hit a boat and hit its skull

  • I remember this, I lived in NB when it happened and I have lots of family in PEI. I bet my aunt or uncle knows the people who where there

  • If you were there you probably would have poked it to. I'd be interested to know what it felt like.

  • it's dead get over it...

  • I'm not a huge fan of those people poking it with their feet. >: (
