Exactly my point. There is no lyric or melodic similarity at all. Yet there are people who continue to insist the Alexander song, a great country blues in it's own right, is an earlier version. I think we all know about groups of linked songs, Saint James Infirmary/Streets of Laredo/Dying Crapshooter Blues for example, but this isn't such a grouping.
