forms are good, the kiai is the kiai of a beginner. don't shout. the shout is only a minor piece of kiai. first get one with the kata. let the energie build up and then it will come out in a naturel way. then you will see that every kiai is different.
keep up the good work

Nice work Adam, got to get together with you this summer and do the toho together.
Keep up the good work.

A pleasure to watch Adam, from my limited exposure to many other styles this seems to be a very forceful (if that's an appropriate term) style of IaiDo, would you say that's a correct observation.

Very nice! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for sharing adam. That looks like an enormous training space! It is interesting that in the Toho kata they add a 3rd cut in Zengogiri (also called "ren" in Mugai Ryu). I really like kissakigaeshi...Hoki Ryu has some really cool soete waza.

Yeah mate, it's a huge room at a sports center. I train on Thursdays with one sensei in different sports centers and on Sundays with two sensei at the dojo.
Our idea with Zengogiri is that the first 'men' to the face diables the forward opponent while we cut down the rear one, then return to finish off the first guy.

I hear you on Hoki Ryu, some really interesting kata there.
I really enjoy Kissakigaeshi too but it's so hard to do well. I'm guessing the Toho version is as different to the Hoki Ryu original as Maegiri is to Eishin Ryu Mae (having not seen a Hoki Ryu practitioner perform it yet, unfortunately)
