I never loved this opera... It could be nice, of course, the story and the lyrics are rather funny, but the big problem is that the music is simply very bad... Boring, uninspired, with absolutely no melodic inventiveness, that kind of music it's just the "run-of-the-mill" of barock music...

He explains the character of platée who is at the same time proud and haughty but also moving and naîve. She is not young and want to be in love with someone but she is ugly and nobody want. She is aggressive and moving in the same time.
