  • Rcat007, did you have an issue with tiny bubbles forming? I also had an issue with chips in the surface being raised. I have only applied one thin layer and wanting ideas about the bubbles if any before I do the next coat.

    Thanks

  • @nuttcase4life I did not have any issues with bubbles at all. I put one heavy coat down my flakes looked like they were raised initially but in about two days they sunk in takes approximately a full week to really harden and after that it's just like part of the counter I love this stuff.

  • Thank you for this video. I was curious to see if it would cover countertops with a design underneath. I've only seen them paint it on plain countertops. We have an ugly green swirly countertop, so I wasn't sure if it would cover evenly. But since you had a design, it covered it great. And I liked to see how much a quart would cover. Great job! Thanks!

  • @jsparrowfan Thank you for the kind words depending on your countertop if the design isn't that deep maybe a couple of coats should do it because it is a pretty thick substance and it gets quite hard it needs to harden for several days to be really hard.

  • It still looks like the day I did the work, no cracks or anything I love this product.

  • I have got to tell you that this counter top paint is awesome I don't use my counter as a cutting board with any knives I am careful not to cut it but just every day use it is excellent does that fade bubble crack or anything I recommended it before spending the money and a whole new counter.

  • +1 for Rustoleum

Painted my car with their enamel 1 1/2 years ago and its the toughest paint I've seen!

  • You talked way too much and the counter tops looked like the shit im trying to cover now shm

  • @suthrngrl76 We actually decided to use our taxes to buy new countertops. Sorry I never got to try it.

  • @jsparrowfan I thought I was the only person in the world with ugly swirly countertops......post and let us know if it worked

  • looks like my garage floor!

  • Awesome lighting idea and thank you for the demo.

  • Too much talking, not enough demonstration.

  • @jsparrowfan I had a 1970's Early 80's UGLY Bright orange counter top and painted it Putty. Took 2 coats but for the cost of 2 cans of paint very pleased. Another counter was pink, grey, white, and mint green stones incased in melamine type material, painted it Grey and covered in one coat. Trying the countetop transformations kit at my new house this weekend but much more costly at $230 on sale verses $30 of this other also made by rustoleum. Check Mommymilestones for the video.

  • @Rcat007 Part 2: The second problem is that the countertop has a crackled took to it. I like it, but I'm not sure if it's from the sanding the bubbles down or the second coat. We waited roughly 24hrs before placing the second coat. I also don't know if once enough days have passed for it to totally dry, if it'll flake off. Only time will tell I suppose haha.
