Wasn't that engine built in an "H" configuration? Surely the physical dimensions seen here - even calculating something as small as 2.0 litres - would have to be longer. I'm old, though, so I'm just trying to recall.

WTF ????????

Great gorgeous sound, just love it... nevertheless I was wondering if there's some chance to get the car moving in a quiter fashion

Radical SR8 LM says otherwise you ignorant cunt @iancflorian

@benwm246 the internet was invented by Al Gore. are you saying he's an englishman?
-
You obviously did not get him.
He meant that the engine is not running on all cylinders, that's why he said it is actually a V11 or V13.
@ olddavid4 - BRM did make an 'H' configuration 16 cylinder but that was in 1966/7. This car is from around 1949-52 as far as I am aware. It is 1.5 litres. I was lucky enough to meet Sir Stirling Moss earlier this year and I asked him about driving the car, which he did on several occasions. He didn't much care for it as the steering column has umpteen universal joints so as to navigate around the engine, so it has a relatively large amount of "play" in it and it was not at all reliable!

The only other way is to push it, which I understand is the most common way this car is moved around...

english technology is suck

@iancflorian Aside from your statement not actually making any grammatical sense; that must be why the majority of current F1 teams are based in and run out of England (Renault, Force India, Red Bull, McLaren, Lotus, Virgin, & Williams). I struggle to recall the zenith of Romanian technology in 1947....by the way, the worldwide web, over which you are communicating your views, was invented by an Englishman.
