yes, but you'll need those pebble sized charcoal and a huge wok and a big fire just like in the vid.

@zodiacza Hi, I need help. Do you mean virtually charcoal that I can buy from the stores, break them up to pieces and then put them straight into the pan, heat them up then down go the chestnuts?

How can I do this in Australia? My hubby and their family all cut an "X" on the shell before roasting them in the oven. I didn't think they tasted that great that way. I prefer the old Singapore way. What's in the pan? Is it only commercially sold or can I get that and toss it around in my own home wok? Please adivse.

the stones are actually charcoal. roasted together, the chestnuts have a very sweet and a slight smoky flavour.

Do they eat them 'with' anything? Like a dip or something?

They eat it on its own. Its very sweet.
You have to try it and Im sure you want more.
