Shiver ~71

-Charlotte-
"I'll go find her." I said, making everyone shut up.
"What?" Cal snapped.
"I said that I'll go find her."
"I'll tag along." Jenna said.
"No." both Phate and Zhander hissed in unison.
I turned to the both of them and glared as Jenna crossed her arms.
"No to both of you then. After teaming up with Dana to try to ruin you, Cal, I owe you." I said to him. "So, you take care of your baby and I'll go find Evalina."
Cal shook his head, running a hand through his hair. He looked like he was ready to scream. As he sat down on the couch, he looked up at me.
"You're sure then.."
"I'm positive. Please, let me do this?"
He nodded once and shared a glance with Phate and Zhander who couldn't say no now.
"Let's go Jenna." I said to her.
She grabbed her leather jacket hanging up on the hook by the door, and I pulled my jacket on, walking outside with her. Shutting the door behind me, I looked at Jenna.
"Any idea where Dana would take her?"
"Back to our old home.. maybe." She said.
"Well we can start there.."
She shimmered, and before my eyes she was gone. I ran a hand through my hair before follow her shimmer through the air.

-Evalina-
I stared at him, trying to figure out what to do, what he was going to do. Honestly, I could say that for the first time in as long as I've known Dana, I had no idea what he was up to next.
"I don't want to hate you anymore... I just want you to remember us when things were right.. I don't want you to hate me either."
"I d-d--"
I felt him lean in closer, his breath getting warmer on my face. I bit my lip again, trying to move, but it was like gravity was physically holding me in place.
"Don't.... Dana..."
But he did anyway. It was fast. His lips pressed against mine, not roughly, but softly. I gave him a second, and then another.. one more... and he finally pulled away. I gave him what he wanted.. needed.. and hoped that was enough. I felt nothing when his lips touched mine, nothing at all. And, I knew.. we were over for good. Dana and I. His thumbs rubbed against my cheeks as he pulled away, and I just stood there, blinking and trying to process what had just happened.
"I'm sorry," he said. "But you understand why I had to.."
"You.. you c-can't.. you can't kiss me.. again."
"I know, I can't. I never will either."
Looking at him, he stepped back away from me.
"That wasn't right.."
"No, it wasn't. But now, things are over between us, over completely. I can feel it and you can feel it too. You're his."
"I am." I said, recomposing myself.
"That's how it should be," he said coldly, nothing left in his voice, or in his eyes. "Goodbye, Evalina. I'll see you at home, I'm sure."
He was gone before I even had a chance to say anything else. He'd shimmered away from me, and the last thing he had said was Good bye. It was over, we were over, and that was a huge weight off of my shoulders.
But somehow, I knew he wouldn't be alright.
