  • Jesus says,

"...he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink ... 'Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.' And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

    Matthew 25:41-46.

This is one of the most explicit passages in all of scripture.

  • @tonythatjesusloves Jesus speaks of hell more than anyone in the entire Bible. Roughly 13 percent of his teachings and half of his parables are in reference to hell, judgment, or punishment. I'm not really sure where you might have picked up the idea that he doesn't, but you didn't get it from the bible. I don't know if you've read the book this video is about, but it seems like it would go a long way to correcting some of your misunderstandings. God bless brother

  • if you want to study hell listen to L ray smith , Mike Vinson , is was and will be web site ,or look at the tentmaker web site , Hell was made up by the catolics the Jews never and still dont teach eternal damnation , the early church , for the first 450 years didnt teach it , and Jesus never taught it

  • Hi Donjay777, I don't base what I teach about God merely on what I think, but on all 66 books of the Bible. (2Tim 3:16, 17) I'm familiar with Eastern hyperbole, semantics and Biblical languages on this subject. In John 5:39, 46 & 47, Jesus give his endorsement of the OT and we should use it too along with the NT. If I am incorrect and hell exists, well I guess I've been teaching that God is nicer than He really is, but if you are incorrect, you make God... think about it. Read all of your Bible!

  • These guys are not convinced that "hell" exist, but they are afraid that it does. So, why write a book and lead others to believe that it's true if you don't have a clue, but then again, to prove the existence of "hell" from the mss of Greek and Hebrew Scripture is not possible in any sense. So, the only thing that they can say about "hell" is from the metalanguage gloss of theology/mythology, and that's not reliable, it's not objective, and yet, they spin....

  • @mimibangbang unfortunately what you just said is completely opposite to the clear teaching of the New Testament. you may want what you think to be true, but that's not what the Bible teaches. We should not come up with our own ideas about what we think God should do and say thats what is true.

  • Millions of thoughtful people have turned away from a God who says, "Love Me or I will keep your "mortal souls" burning forever in Hell Fire!" Even the view that God will annihilate those who wont do as He wishes produces fear, not love. Dr. Timothy Jennings has some wonderful and healthy insights on the subject of God's character that helps dispel myths which damage our relationship with God and each other. He is the host of Come and Reason Ministries. I hope this helps. God truly is Love.
