Take a regular piece of rope, even let the audience thoroughly inspect it
before the trick. In clear, up-close sight of the audience, put the rope
through the slicer and give it a good slice to cut the rope in half.
Everyone can clearly see the sliced rope. Say your Abracadabra's and push
the slicer back into place. Instead of a cut rope, you pull out the rope
with absolutely no damage!
