  • he is a great bet for cheltnham

  • @johngilly28 i no this is a belated response and the champion hurdle is well and truely over but i'm just referring to ''bincoular is goof off a slower pace'' You could not be anymore wrong. He's the complete opposite. He has and always will be a stronger horse of a good pace! This has nothing to do with the champion hurdle or any of his other races winning or losing.. Just referring to ur statement!!

  • all you boys whittering on about binocular, i'm sorry to say i told you so... layed him big time, and i was right about the early pace denting his turn of foot. the horse to take from the race is definitely celestial halo, to be up with that pace all the way round is incredible. get on tranquil sea thursday.

  • river liane will cause a huge upset.150/1,get on!! wasnt far behind brave inca and muirhead in the irish champion and finished ahead of sublimity,so many of the horses wont go on the soft possibly heavy ground, river lianne will relish the conditions,he was favourite for the fred winter last year but broke a blood vessel, when askhasar and crack away jack finished 1st and 2nd,so how he can be 150/1 and them 12 and 16/1 is beyond me

  • im not saying he will win the champion hurdle as we have seen these supposed good things get turned over before but the supreme novices was only his 3rd run so he was always going to improve for the experience and more racing. whatever you think about his chances in the champion theres no denying his last run at ascot was impressive.

  • you say binocular has improved tons since but on what basis do you make that claim? He's beat celestical halo at aintree and this year. Only 2 runs this term.... i dont see it. I hope he gets stuffed.

  • i can remember siimilar conversations with my races pals over the last couple of years, about sizing europe, detroit city both of whom i layed. the last 2 outs for binocular the race has been set up for him by celestial halo. with the break neck pace of the champion hurdle i just dont think he'll have it his own way. i have layed him but am now backing osana, sublimity and harchibald because the ground might be on the good side.

  • It has to be stated Binocular beat Celestial Halo with a lot in hand, he could have won by 10 lengths if McCoy wanted too.

  • i still believe binocular wont win the champion this year. osana being the danger. binocular beat celestial halo 3 lengths last time out. at level weights who beat osana 3 lengths receiving 4 pound. on average over the past 50 years 1 pound is the equivilent of 1.5 lengths in 2 mile hurdle races so the pure maths say osana can reverse with celestial halo by 6 lengths puttinh him right there with binocular... if binocular does win he may be the new istabraq

  • Binocular would have pissed the Triumph, they put him in the harder race which is rare for 4 year olds, (Binocular was a 4y/o here, Captain Cee Bee a 7y/o) McCoy also stated it was human error rather than the horse as he let go of Binouclar way too soon and has changed his tactics since with great effect.
