Sony SX40 mounted on a tripod set to High Quality, Manual Settings. Zoom all the way in then touch the bird on the touch screen. I use a cotton bud for this. Zoom Out, Reframe and Shoot. Its really very fast when you get the hang of it. The Kingfisher only stays for a few seconds at a time in a very hard to focus location. Only by using the Spot Focus Method was I able get a good frame.

  • Low light is not where this camera shines and it has no night shot. I find my Canon HV20 works better in low light.
